East Cobb
East Cobb is one of the most sought-after neighborhoods to live and raise a family in the Atlanta area. Nestled between GA-400 and I-75, it’s about 20 minutes north of the heart of Atlanta. East Cobb residents have access to major job corridors and tons of recreational activities. Residents enjoy the convenience of in-town neighborhoods while also having many recreational options in the immediate area. Above all, East Cobb is known for it’s highly ranked schools. Tree-lined streets and large wooded lots give the area a similar feel to a small town.
In 2016 Money Magazine named East Cobb as one of the Best Places to Live in the country. Lower taxes are certainly a part of that, as Cobb County has the lowest taxes of any Metro Atlanta county. Cobb County is debt-free, as a result, is considered one of the most fiscally responsible county governments in all of Georgia.
Things To Do
Shopping and Dining options are abundant. Centers like Merchant’s Walk, The Avenue, and Paper Mill Village offer outdoor shopping, just to name a few. Residents enjoy close proximity to several Chattahoochee River Recreation Areas plus many other county sports complexes and passive parks. As a result, there is something for everyone along the banks of the Chattahoochee….hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing, and rafting to name a few. Pack a picnic lunch and eat al fresco at one of the many parks in East Cobb. Another reason residents love to call it home is the small-town feel. High School Sports, the East Cobber Parade, and Taste of East Cobb bring the community together.
