Rocky Mount Elementary School

Rocky Mount was built in 1978 and welcomed the first classes for the 1978-79 school year. The school celebrated its 40th Anniversary during the 2018-19 school year! 

Rock Mount is a feeder school for Mabry Middle, Simpson Middle, and Lassiter High School. There are approximately 600 students currently enrolled in Pre-K through fifth grade.  

Students who graduate from Rocky Mount go on to Mabry Middle School or Simpson Middle School and Lassiter High School. Rocky Mount has an active P.T.A. and a supportive Foundation that provide families with many ways to be involved with the school!

Like many elementary schools, students have the oppurtunity to interact with physical education, art and music within their studies. 

There are lots of clubs for students to partake in…these include; 

Math Club, Orff Orchestra, Robotics, Chorus, Reading Bowl, Drama, Running, Dance, Art, Chess, Fitness Fun, Martial Arts, Kid Tech Junior, Guitar, Kidz Keyz, and Spanish

After School is available for families that need it and it occurs every school day from 2:20-6:00 pm.
