West Cobb

West Cobb was mostly rural until the late 1980’s and early 1990’s when land was inexpensive and growth was booming.  Geographically, it is the area in Cobb west of I-75.  Communities which make up West Cobb include Acworth, Kennesaw and Powder Springs.

Because of it’s open-air lifestyle shopping, The Avenue of West Cobb has become one of the most popular places to shop.  It offers a dynamic mix of premier national retailers, select local merchants and specialty restaurants. The shops reflective local demand and fashion trends.  Visitors enjoy fountains, the unique stores, patio dining and storefront parking.

In the past 15 years, many new schools have opened to support the growing population.  Students benefit from state of art technology, performing arts centers and athletic venues. These schools have also quickly become competitive in academics, arts and sports. All schools in West Cobb are part of the Cobb County School District.

Water Supply

Lake Allatoona is the second largest lake in Metro Atlanta featuring 270 miles of shoreline and over 12,000 acres of water stretching 3 counties. It supplies Cobb County with over 43 million gallons of water per day. Living in Acworth or Kennesaw puts you within 15 minutes of a boat ramp. West Cobb is also home to the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, a pristine natural gem that is enjoyed by thousands of walkers per week.
