Timber Ridge Elementary School opened in 1990 in East Cobb County. Average enrollment is 600 students in grades K-5.

-The Mission of Timber Ridge is: To be a positive place for learning where children and adults grow in knowledge, skills and respect.

-National Blue Ribbon School in 2011

-Students rotate between the following “Specials” on a daily basis: Art, Music, Physical Education and STEM

-Timber Ridge Learning Commons has a brand new dedicated Maker Space. It is open to all staff and students and is a place where they can design, experiment and invent. The Maker Space supplies different tools and materials for a wide range of activities.

– Timber Ridge’s PTA ensures advocacy for EVERY CHILD, ONE VOICE. This group of dedicated volunteers helps with every aspect of school. Just a few of the PTA sponsored committees include: Front Desk Volunteers, Learning Commons Volunteers, Hospitality, Celebrate Families Luncheon, Girls on the Run and the International Festival.

-The Timber Ridge Foundation was founded in 2005 to address the shortfalls in funds received from the state. They are dedicated to raising money to support the mission and goals of the school. The Foundation provides resources that create rich educational experiences for all students. Examples of Foundation funds at work include: Full Time Technology Teacher, Laptop carts, bookcases and furniture for the Learning Commons, and Smart Fill water fountains throughout the school.

-ASP is the after school program offered from dismissal to 6pm. A snack, art activity, playtime, games, homework, and enrichment activities are all part of the program. ASP provides a safe and nurturing place for students.
