About Tritt

Tritt Elementary School serves ~900 students in grade K-5. It is located in East Cobb County and was founded in 1980.

-Tritt was named a National Blue Ribbon School in 2013

-Tritt earned AdvancED STEM Certification from the State of GA. Teachers integrate STEM-related curriculum, students embrace and apply the Engineering Design Process and Community members provide relevant, real life connections for students. In every classroom, students work through the stages of the Engineering Design process which are ask, imagine, plan, create, improve. This process lends itself well to all subjects.

-Just a sampling of the clubs offered at Tritt: Broadcast Group, Reading Bowl, Robo-Paws, Science Olympiad, and Yearbook.

-The Library Learning Commons has recently been renovated. Students and staff can access printed texts along with research and technological resources. It is the hub of the school; a place for teachers and students to collaborate to build inquiry learning and critical thinking skills; a place for technology integration and experimentation; a place that is “owned” but students and staff alike.

-Tritt’s PTA ensures advocacy for EVERY CHILD, ONE VOICE. This group of dedicated volunteers helps with every aspect of school. Just a few of the PTA sponsored committees include: All Pro Dads, Blood Drive, Book Fair, School Dance, and Tritt Trott.

-Tritt also has a Foundation that was started to bridge the gaps between what state funds provided and what was needed. The Foundation supports STEAM initiatives and funds the full time Science Lab teacher. They provide supplies for Science and Technology labs as well. To date they have also provided iPads, netbooks, Ipad carts and a 3D printer.
